About Sophie
Sophie grew up in San Diego and moved to Bellingham in 2015 to attend Western Washington University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English in 2019. She worked as a line cook, bartender, and baker for a few years after graduation, all at the same restaurant (and often in the same day) on Vashon Island before moving to the mainland and coming to Buell in 2024. While currently enrolled in a Masters of Library and Information Science program with intent to one day become an archivist or librarian, she gets experience outside of work volunteering with the Seattle International Film Festival and the Friends of the Seattle Library.
When not at work, she enjoys alphabetizing her VHS tape collection, taking her dog Marmalade to Seattle's many parks, and testing new recipes out on friends and coworkers.
